First-grade students at WDE enjoyed engaging in hands-on social studies activities during the first quarter of school! Students worked with their families to create personal timelines using pictures as primary sources to highlight important events in their lives. They added captions to describe each event and enjoyed sharing their timelines with their classmates. Hands-on learning makes social studies fun, meaningful, and memorable!
