Students at West DeFuniak Elementary enjoyed a trek into “Nocturnal Nature” last night at WDE’s annual Title 1 Family Night for Math and Science. The students and parents participated in 15 different hands-on science stations from the Emerald Coast Science Center featuring animals and plants that thrive at night science activities. WDE students learned about brains at bedtime and glow getters, became sea turtle patrols, created sugar gliders, constructed 3-D crescent moons, as well as many other fun science activities. WDE students also participated in grade level math activities with their families. They were able to take home some fun math games to practice their math skills. Students also loved getting their picture made with friends and family at the campfire themed photo booth. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event a success!
