4th grade students at West DeFuniak practiced their measurement skills as they excitedly compared the measurements of different objects in their classrooms. They were even surprised about a few of their results. After they learned and practiced conversions with different types of measurements, they were sent on a scavenger hunt that really put what they learned to work. First, students had to determine which instrument they needed to measure an object. Then, students had to measure the object. Finally, students had to convert their measurement and record their results. Hands-on math is always fun and exciting!
