Third grade students at West DeFuniak Elementary participated in a hands-on activity involving the properties of light. Students demonstrated how light interacted with different materials and investigated how light behaves. Many discoveries were made! Through the experiment, students learned light moves in a straight line until it hits a material. Also, light bounces off some materials, such as mirrors and aluminum foil. Finally, students discovered light bends when it moves through a cloudy liquid.
