WDE fifth grade students recently attended a field trip to Emerald Coast Technical College. Students visited the ECTC campus and learned about all the amazing career opportunities that are offered there as dual-enrollment students and/or post-graduation students. WDE students were able to participate with hands-on experiences in career fields such as Welding, Electricity, Plumbing, HVAC, IT, Cosmetology, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Automotives, as well as several others. As an AVID Certified School, WDE helps support students in elementary school plan their pathway to college and career readiness. This visit to ECTC was both memorable and inspiring for WDE fifth grade students.
