Kindergarten students in Ms. Songe and Ms. Fox's classes read "The Tiny Seed" and "Jack's Garden" recently. Using AVID's *𝐖𝐈𝐂𝐎𝐑 approach, students engaged in hands-on science projects involving seeds and gardens. Students collaboratively considered how to plant their seeds, what would happen to their seeds after they were planted, planted the seeds, labeled plant parts, and journaled about their learning. Additionally, students watched Generation Genius to observe plant growth and explored their Elevated Science books to discover similarities and differences in plants.
