Mrs. Fuentes’ 2nd grade students used the AVID jigsaw strategy to become an expert on their math word problem, so that they can take back to their group what they learned and teach it. Mrs. Allen, WDE TSA assistant principal, was able to stop by and said, “I loved the collaboration among the students and hearing them defend their reasoning.”
