Music in Pictures Project

WDE students are deeply engaged in this year's *Music in Pictures project during their art classes. While listening to classical music pieces, Mrs. Collins' art students use their ๐—”๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—— ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด and ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด strategies. Then students create their larger art pieces using the elements of art: line, color, shape, value, and space.

Grades K-2 have been busy creating beautiful winter art for the WDE hallways! They have been using the elements of art and AVID strategies such as collaboration, brainstorming and AVID callbacks.

*The Music in Pictures project promotes creativity through the juried art contest where over 4,000 Walton County students (Kindergarten โ€“ 12th grade) from 21 Walton County schools will create a painting of their interpretation of classical music. Each school will submit their student paintings for judging and public exhibition. From these entries, the judges selected Judgesโ€™ Awards, Chairmanโ€™s Awards, and Medalists.
