Native American cultures came to life at WDE in Mrs. Ellis' 2nd grade class. Students worked with WICOR partners to research the culture of Native Americans and create pop up books. They explored the way Native Americans utilized their natural resources while having a hands on experience with items the Native Americans would have used in everyday life. Some of these items included teepees, woven baskets, corn, squash, and even some animal pelts furnished by one of our fifth grade teachers, Mrs. Carnley. Fun was had by all!
