Second grade teachers Mrs. White and Mrs. Owen shared about the exciting adventures their students experienced this week.
Mrs. White—"Students are learning about the life cycle of plants. They created a greenhouse to plant their seed and observe the cycle firsthand. Students will then observe, track, and record their results as their plant grows.”
Mrs. Owen—"Students used WICOR strategies to design and build a protective landing device for their egg. Students tested them out by dropping them from up high.”
Teachers used the following AVID strategies to keep student-learning engaged: Collaborative Inquiry, Think-Pair-Share, Graphic Organizer, Writing
