Emerald Coast Technical College and Walton County School District Career and Technical Education personnel participated in the 2017 Career and Adult Education Pathways Symposium in Tallahassee, FL on January 10th-11th. The purpose of the symposium was to discuss best practices for developing partnerships between potential employers, public school systems, colleges, community members and organizations. Mr. Charlie Morse, Director of Emerald Coast Technical College, was a panelist for a discussion on the topic of CareerSource Partnerships. Participants also heard from the Commissioner Pam Stewart, Chancellor Rod Duckworth, Chancellor Hershel Lyons, and Chancellor Madeline Pumariega. Submitted by Donna Honish.

Miss Walton County Pageant

The Walton High School Drama Club will present the 2017 Miss Walton County Pageant on February 18 in the Walton High School Auditorium.  The pageant is an official preliminary to the National Peanut Festival Pageants.  The pageant is open to contestants who live or attend school in Walton County in the following age divisions.

Miss Walton County - ages 17 to 21 by October 1, 2017

Little Miss Walton County - all First Graders

Teen Miss Walton County - ages 13 to 16 by November 1, 2017

Junior Miss Walton County - ages 10 to 12 

Young Miss Walton County - ages 7 to 9

Future Little Miss Walton County - ages 4 to 6

Tiny Miss Walton County - ages 2 & 3
