Mission Statement

It is the mission of West DeFuniak Elementary and its stakeholders to strive to be a positive, nurturing community in which children develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually to experience success that fosters lifelong learning.

Vision Statement

We envision West DeFuniak Elementary School as a safe and trusting place which develops responsible and respectful citizens who accept and understand cultural diversity.  Supported by dedicated staff, concerned parents and community partners, WDE students are encouraged to become creative producers by taking risks without fear of failure.  Through collaboration, challenges become opportunities where achievements are recognized and celebrated.  Potential to become self-directed life-long learners permeates the expectations of the WDE family.
